Job summary

Penn Medicine's Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the inpatient Palliative Care Program. The APP provides symptom management, psychosocial support, and advance care planning for patients and families facing serious illness, consulting across acute care settings.

The role requires NP with acute care certification or PA with PA license; 2–3 years in acute care is preferred, with palliative care experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master's prepared NP with Acute Care certification or master's prepared PA.
• Pennsylvania license or eligibility to obtain.
• 2–3 years AP role in acute care preferred; palliative care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical care for patient populations per established protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records in EHR per standards.
• Function within scope and consult collaborating physician as needed.
• Perform interventions for assigned patient population.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and accreditation activities.
• Precept NP students and other healthcare learners.
