Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing and graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience.
• RN Texas licensure, APRN license, prescriptive authority, and DEA/NARCOTICS licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, treatment and consultation as part of a treatment team.
• Order tests, conduct physicals, and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Lead and participate in interprofessional rounds and patient education.
• Ensure care aligns with the Nurse Practice Act of Texas and institutional policies.
