Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing and graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioners program.
  • Two years of RN, AP, or NP clinical experience.
  • RN Texas licensure with permanent license within 60 days; APRN Acute Care license; Magnet ANCC Acute Care certification; BLS and ACLS; AP prescriptive authority; and DEA license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership as a clinical resource and interprofessional consultant.
  • Collaborates with the interprofessional team to manage patient care and advocate for patients.
  • Coordinates patient care under physician supervision and aligns with service standards.
  • Promotes patient satisfaction and contributes to department score improvements.
