Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an Anesthesia Critical Care NP to provide direct patient care across Surgical ICU, Rapid Recovery Unit, Cardiac ICU, and East Campus ICU. Qualifications

• Must be graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Current California RN license, California NP license, and Furnishing license (or must be obtained before credentialing).
• Acute Care NP Certification (AGACNP or ACNP).
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with plan to obtain ART within 6 months.
• At least 1 year of adult critical care experience as NP.
• Proficiency in documenting patient conditions and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing actions in accordance with care plans.
• Exercise independent judgement within interdisciplinary approaches.
• Perform operational duties focused on direct patient care delivery.
• Manage patients with chronic or episodic health problems.
• Possibly participate in community teaching and patient education development.
