Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
Current CA RN and NP licenses with Furnishing License or able to obtain before credentialing.
Acute Care NP Certification (AGACNP or ACNP).
BLS/CPR and ACLS at time of hire; ART within 6 months.
At least 1 year of adult critical care experience as NP.
Proficiency in documenting patient conditions and outcomes.
Knowledge of diagnostic tests and procedures.
Experience with PCIS/Epic for patient data retrieval.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced unit and triage acute patients.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care per standardized advanced practice guidelines.
Assess and provide nursing actions per care plan.
Exercise independent judgement within interdisciplinary approaches to patient care.
Manage patients with chronic and/or episodic health problems.
May participate in community teaching and education material development.
