As a remote Inpatient Coding Specialist, you will review hospital inpatient records to assign, validate, and edit ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, perform coding and DRG validation across multiple entities.

Responsibilities include:

• Assigning and validating codes and DRGs, including diagnosis, procedures, discharge disposition, and physician queries.
• Maintaining accuracy and productivity standards.
• Using complete medical records for coding and validation.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in HIM/HIT preferred.
• At least 2 years of inpatient acute care hospital coding experience required.
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
