Job summary

Kaiser Permanente's nursing team seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Acute Care to support RNs in routine patient care within authorized duties. You’ll follow established procedures under supervision, assist with vital signs, comfort measures, and data collection, and contribute to a safe, compassionate patient experience.

You will document care steps, communicate clearly with the team, and maintain HIPAA and privacy standards while integrating into a collaborative unit focused on quality

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certificate (Oregon) levels 1 or 2.
• Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.
• Preferred CNA experience in Acute Care.
• Computer keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Problem Solving: Refers more difficult issues to RN.
• Decision-Making: Uses judgment to perform tasks and accepts accountability.
• Compliance: Maintains privacy and confidentiality; adheres to laws and Kaiser policies.
• Communication: Documents and relays messages accurately; confirms understanding.

• Assessment/Observation: Obtains vital signs and reports values outside parameters.
• Quality & Safety: Supports safe environment and follows emergency procedures.
• Team Focus: Works with the healthcare team; participates in unit activities.
• Leadership/Change: Supports new ideas and mentors teammates.
