Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for all patients. The role focuses on safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution, and control of medications within a dynamic hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BS or PharmD in Pharmacy, with hospital experience or residency preferred, and an active Florida pharmacist license or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from College of Pharmacy
• Experience as a pharmacist in an acute‑care hospital setting or general pharmacy practice residency preferred
• Current FL Pharmacist license or license eligible
• Eligible to sit for NAPLEX
• Strong reading, listening and written communication skills, and PC proficiency

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs
• Provide clinical pharmacy support and execute programs for all patient areas
• Review medication orders and ensure drug appropriateness, dosage, route and interactions
• Ensure medications are safely dispensed to patients in accordance with age requirements
• Monitor narcotic transactions and reconcile narcotics leaving the pharmacy
• Assist with physician consults and retrieve reliable drug information
• Communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
