Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy services for all patients, ensuring safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution, and control of medications. You will support clinical programs, review orders, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires a pharmacist degree, FL licensure or eligibility, and NAPLEX readiness, with strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS or PharmD in Pharmacy required.
• Experience in an acute-care hospital setting or a residency preferred.
• FL Pharmacist license or license eligibility required.
• NAPLEX eligibility is required.
• Strong critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and patient data review.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain clinical pharmacy programs to meet patient needs.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support across all patient areas.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, dosing and interactions; adjust as needed.
• Ensure safe dispensing to patients in accordance with age and policy.
• Monitor narcotic transactions and reconcile narcotics dispensing.
• Assist with physician consults and retrieve reliable drug information.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
