Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• BSN required; must obtain BSN within four years if not already.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit Specific Certification (ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Experience in the assigned clinical area.
• Mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit on shift and coordinate staffing and resources.
• Assess physical, social, and psychological status of patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement plans of care.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Direct care delivery per plan and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Set priorities and coordinate patient care delivery and staffing.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust the plan of care as needed.
• Promote professional development and coach staff.
