Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Inpatient General Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure service (Galter 10) in Chicago. The team of 17 APPs covers 48 beds with rotating attendings, handling complex heart failure care, VADs, and general cardiology.

Schedule is 4x10 hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays; no nights or on-call. The role emphasizes direct patient care, teaching, and collaboration with the medical staff to

Competenze

• Master’s degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
• Acute care certification required for APRNs
• Current RN license in Illinois and APRN license; national APRN certification; DEA number eligibility
• Privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification as specified by department

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and direct clinical care for patients
• Prescribe and order medications, therapies, and tests within privileges
