Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls seeks a PRN registered nurse for the Acute Unit. You will provide physical and psychological care under RN supervision, delivering individualized nursing care and documenting in the EMR.

Responsibilities include 1-on-1 and group patient sessions, participating in interdisciplinary treatment meetings, implementing suicide precautions, monitoring status, and assisting with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education, health or related field.
• Associate's Behavioral Health degree accepted.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual patients in 1-on-1 or group settings per the treatment plan.
• Participate in inter-disciplinary treatment team meetings and provide input.
• Implement suicide precautions as needed.
• Assess changes in patient condition and notify RN.
• Maintain accurate records in the EMR and assist with daily living activities.
