Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Senior Unit. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care across medical and mental health needs, on rotating days/evenings/nights and weekends/holidays, in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, therapists, and care teams; developing individualized care plans; patient and family education; and ensuring safety and quality of care in a healing

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan to the health care team.
• Develop nursing care plans by obtaining histories, examining patients, and documenting status.
• Teach patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Maintain safe care environment by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
