Job summary

AltaPointe Health Systems seeks an experienced nurse (LPN or RN) to support the Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Mobile. The role emphasizes admissions, crisis response, and coordinated patient care in a 24/7 setting, with emphasis on de-escalation and safety.

The position requires Alabama licensure and relevant psychiatric or crisis care knowledge; orientation to AltaPointe policies will be provided. Sign-on bonus available and full-time shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license to practice in the State of Alabama.
• Experience in acute care or crisis response is preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and crisis intervention concepts is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Completes admissions and ensures customer service during intake and referrals.
• Oversees nursing activities on units and participates in multidisciplinary care planning.
• Provides emergency care per AltaPointe policies and participates in de-escalation efforts.
• Documents in a timely, clear, and compliant manner per policy.
• Maintains patient safety, privacy, and professional conduct with consumers and staff.
