Palms Behavioral Health in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I (FT Days) to support a multidisciplinary treatment team under licensed nurse supervision. The role focuses on patient monitoring, direct care, data collection, and crisis response.

You will aid with activities of daily living, safety checks, vital signs, and documentation while contributing to a structured, therapeutic environment. Prior experience with psychiatric populations is preferred.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the facility's population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensures wellbeing of patients and maintains a safe, structured environment.
• Maintains constant supervision and monitors patients.
• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, hygiene, meals, and grooming.
• Conducts safety checks and follows individualized supervision guidelines.
• Interacts with patients and reports significant observations to the supervisor.
• Facilitates educational-rehabilitative groups on social skills, coping skills and independent living skills.
• Takes and records vital signs and communicates changes to the clinical team.
• Charts patient records timely and accurately.
• Applies de-escalation techniques and assists with restraints when necessary.
• Assists with unit cleaning, admits, discharge, and filing.
• Initiates incident reports and coordinates patient transport as needed.
• Receives shift reports and provides thorough handover to the next shift.
