The Lead Engineer role provides technical leadership for Group, Investment and Retirement products on the Acurity platform. You will drive engineering standards, mentor teams, and deliver high-quality solutions in an agile delivery environment.

Qualifikationen

• IT or related field qualification.
• 10+ years as a software developer.
• 5+ years development with Acurity.
• In-depth knowledge of Superannuation, Investment and Retirement products.
• Agile environment experience.
• Iteration Management experience.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and resolve issues.
• Experience providing thought leadership.
• Desirable: Acurity Services and Azure Service Integration.
• Life insurance experience.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Automation testing experience.

The Lead Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and direction within a high-performing Technology Delivery team, supporting the ongoing transformation towards continuous delivery and enhanced customer outcomes. This role leads the development and support of Group, Investment and Retirement products hosted on the Acurity platform, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, well-engineered solutions aligned to business objectives. Working collaboratively across delivery teams, the Lead Engineer will champion engineering standards, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of innovation. The successful candidate will bring strong technical leadership, the ability to rapidly develop expertise across complex systems and interfaces, and a proactive approach to working within an agile delivery environment.

In this role you will:

• Provide input and thought leadership into the systems technology roadmap for the platform as well as the quality standards and processes for the platform.
• Provide technical direction to the Pod to deliver suitable technology products that enable desired business outcomes in the required timeframe and align with the platform roadmap in a continuous
• improvement environment.Identify and articulate business and technical risks and issues. Take action to resolve issues, mitigate risks, minimise run costs and minimise technical debt.
• Configure and code changes and interfaces for the Acurity systems, and train others to be able to do the same.
• Perform, design, codeand test-reviews and embed built-in quality practices to ensure products delivered by the Pod meet appropriate quality standards throughout development.
• A percentage of the Lead Engineer’s time will also be performing sprint tasks and
• developing software as per the criteria above.
