Job summary

Steadily is hiring an Actuary. This is a full-time position, either in-office or fully remote, with generous relocation support for out-of-state candidates. You will lead growth and profitability of DP products nationwide, steer pricing strategies, and manage multi-state rate filings to deliver strong returns.

You have 4+ years in insurance (prefer HO/DP), are pursuing CAS accreditation with 5+ exams, and bring a builder mindset and strong technical skills to drive data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of insurance experience, property products preferred (HO/DP)
• Pursuing CAS accreditation with at least 5 exams passed
• Builder mindset with end-to-end project delivery
• Exceptional digital aptitude and ability to learn new tools quickly
• Ambition to join an early-stage tech company and contribute beyond a standard 9–5 role

Responsibilities

• Drive growth and profitability of DP products nationwide.
• Develop pricing approaches for new and existing products.
• Manage rate filings across multiple states to ensure adequate returns.
• Analyze profitability drivers: loss ratios, indicators, trends, retention.
• Expand product geography and data-driven action plans to improve performance.
• Innovate pricing methods beyond traditional models.
