Lewis & Ellis - Actuaries and Consultants invites you to a Summer 2027 Actuarial Internship, offering hands-on experience in insurance, statistics, and real-world projects with flexible remote/on-site/hybrid options.

The program starts May 17, 2027, includes a 3-week intensive training, and runs through early August 2027, with the Plano, TX office available or remote work if not local.

Qualifications

• You are pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor's degree in any field.
• No actuarial examinations required, but a 'nice to have'.
• You need a minimum GPA of 2.5 or a 'Pass' in a Pass/Fail system.
• You must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign national who has lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years; work authorization required.
• You should be quick to learn and adaptable; spreadsheets are important; teamwork and good communication needed.
• The internship starts May 17, 2027 with a 3-week training and runs through early August 2027 in Plano, TX or remotely if not local.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 3-week intensive training at the start of the internship.
• Work on a real actuarial project, primarily government contract work.
• Gain hands-on experience in insurance statistics and data analysis.
• Collaborate with experienced actuaries on meaningful work.
• Receive feedback and mentorship to develop professional skills.
• Contribute to the success of a high-impact project; possible work on other projects if finished early.
