Job summary

Lewis & Ellis Inc. invites you to its Spring 2026 P&C Internship offering practical actuarial experience in property and casualty insurance.

This fully remote program lets you work with seasoned actuaries on industry research and client projects while aligning with upper-level CAS syllabus. You will gain hands-on experience, support research, review client engagements, and develop skills in Excel and statistical software such as R or Python.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of statistical software (R, Python) is a plus.
• Effective communication, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Pursuing or recently completed degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field; GPA 2.7 or Pass.

About the Internship

Are you looking for an internship where you can gain practical actuarial experience and exposure to the vast and dynamic property and casualty insurance space? Our Spring 2026 P&C Internship offers you the opportunity to work on projects in property and casualty insurance, while learning from experienced actuaries in a collaborative setting. This position will be fully remote.

Pay

$25/hour

YOU WILL

• Support industry research and actuarial analysis.
• Assist in special client projects in the property and casualty insurance sector.
• Participate in client interactions from an actuarial consultant's perspective.
• Gain hands on relevant experience in actuarial subject matters that directly tie into upper level CAS exam syllabus material.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of statistical software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively, manage time, and meet deadlines.
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.7 or a "Pass" in a Pass/Fail system.

PAY, BENEFITS & PERKS

• The hourly rate is $25 per hour.
• The internship will be fully remote.
• The internship program is scheduled to begin on May 17th, 2027 and end on August 13th, 2027.
