The Hartford in Hartford, CT is seeking an AD & Associate Actuary to support Spectrum and E&S pricing for Small Business. You will develop rate indications, refine class plans, and advance analytic capabilities using SQL, R, and Python.
This hybrid role involves collaboration with underwriting and product teams, mentoring junior actuaries, and presenting results to leadership across multiple states.

The position is part of the Spectrum actuarial team which provides support for $3.0B of Commercial Multi-Peril business for The Hartford’s Small Business segment. Our Spectrum BOP product is proprietary to The Hartford and is regarded as the market leader in the industry. Additionally, the team supports the growth and development of Small Business’ Multi-Peril E&S offering. As we operate in both a fluid and competitive industry, we continuously innovate the line and create product / coverage improvements that meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and to remain ahead of our competitors.
This role can have a Hybrid work schedule out of Hartford, Chicago, Charlotte offices. Candidates will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
The annualized base pay range for this role is: $113,200 - $169,800
