JM Family Enterprises, Inc. invites students to join the Actuarial Services Internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will gain hands-on actuarial experience, contribute to projects, and learn about our culture and core values.

As an Intern, you’ll perform data reconciliation, assist with loss reserving models, and develop reports using Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, or Power BI, while collaborating with actuarial, finance, and business teams.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or degree-seeking program in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Completed at least one actuarial exam (Exam P or FM) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, or Power BI is preferred.

The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team’s success, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 24th, 2027 - July 30th, 2027).

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks, providing hands‑on experience, and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Family’s culture including our core values: Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.

As an Actuarial Services Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience with essential actuarial activities while contributing to the team’s analytical and business needs. This internship is designed to strengthen the local actuarial community and build a pipeline of skilled future associates.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine data reconciliation to support actuarial analysis.

Qualifications:

• This is a full‑time position with flexible working arrangements depending on the business need.
• The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree‑seeking program at an accredited college or university, with a focus in a relevant field. Candidates in related fields will also be considered. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework.
• Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and mathematical skills.
• Completion of at least one actuarial exam, Exam P or FM is preferred.
• Experience with or knowledge of Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, or Power BI is preferred.
