Job summary

Americo seeks an experienced Actuarial Modeler to lead modeling for life and annuity projections and oversee financial reporting and governance. ASA or FSA is required with hands-on Prophet 360 or MG-ALFA experience.

The role is in-office in downtown Kansas City, MO, offering a strong compensation package, bonus potential, and opportunities for development within a collaborative actuarial team.

Qualifications

• ASA or FSA with modeling experience.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience with leadership.
• Experience with Prophet 360 or MG-ALFA.
• Proficiency in Excel; SQL or Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead model development to support actuarial projections.
• Maintain, validate and enhance Prophet 360 models for life and annuity projections.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of reserves, projections and model results through rigorous validation and controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk and IT to support audit readiness and governance.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting valuation, including principles-based reserves and GAAP LDTI.
• Provide leadership in assumption setting, experience studies and documentation.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentor actuarial associates or interns responsible for valuation and reporting.
