Job summary

Prosperity Life Group seeks an experienced Actuary to lead end-to-end actuarial processes, including model development, valuation, financial reporting, and earnings projections across U.S. GAAP, Statutory, Tax, and Bermuda EBS frameworks. This role partners with Finance, Risk, Underwriting, and M&A to guide high-impact initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of actuarial experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and expertise with MG-ALFA/ALFA, AXIS, or Prophet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience with exposure to a broad range of insurance products.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting frameworks, including FAS 60, FAS 91, and FAS 97.
• Solid understanding of Long-Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) and its impact on valuation and financial reporting.
• Experience with products such as Fixed Indexed Annuities, Universal Life, and Deferred/ Payout Annuities.
• Familiarity with both direct and reinsurance business preferred.
• Expertise with actuarial modeling platforms such as MG-ALFA (ALFA), AXIS, Prophet, or similar systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience automating complex financial models.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuations of insurance liabilities under U.S. GAAP, Statutory, Tax, and Bermuda EBS frameworks.
• Analyze reserve movements and earnings variances; support financial reporting disclosures.
• Develop and maintain earnings projections for planning and analysis.
• Convert valuation models and develop new product valuation models.
• Drive automation, process improvements, and modeling best practices.
• Provide actuarial insight for business decisions and governance.
