Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an Associate Actuary to lead actuarial projects, analyze complex data, and present actionable insights to senior leadership. Ideal candidates hold an ACAS designation or equivalent experience and have strong programming, Excel and SQL skills.

This role supports multi-line pricing, reserving and predictive modeling in a hybrid environment. Individuals will mentor junior team members, influence decisions with data-driven analyses, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five+ years of technical actuarial experience in pricing, reserving or predictive modeling.
• ACAS designation or equivalent experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of actuarial concepts and methods; research and apply new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial projects and problem solve independently.
• Present results and recommended actions to management.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and mentor staff.
• Improve ratemaking processes and reserve methods where applicable.
• Develop analyses to interpret results and support business strategy.
• Communicate outcomes to internal and external stakeholders clearly.
