Job summary

Milliman's CMH Health Practice is offering an exciting Spring 2027 internship for graduates or current students pursuing quantitative majors. The role focuses on Medicare Advantage and Part D, with real-world assignments and potential for full-time conversion.

Expect to work 40+ hours per week during mid-January to mid-June 2027, with overtime eligibility. Interns will gain experience in data analysis using Excel, SAS, Python, and VBA, and collaborate with premier actuarial consultants.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, accounting, or other quantitative major.
• Junior standing is preferred but not required; freshmen and sophomores will be considered.
• Must be able to work full-time from mid-January 2027 to mid-June 2027 (40+ hours per week; occasional 50–60 hours).
• Actuarial exams passed are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis using Excel, VBA, SAS, Python, and Milliman programs to assist Medicare Advantage and Part D consulting.
• Pricing and analysis for Medicare Advantage and Part D plans.
• Provide benefit design strategy support for insurance carriers.
• Participate in consulting activities including pricing, reserving, financial projections, and M&A.
