Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support for Actuarial financial data systems and data marts. You will identify business requirements and help build medical and pharmacy data analyses to support Plan divisions.

You'll assist with data refreshes, testing, and documentation, collaborating with senior team members on projects and providing ad hoc analytical support as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree required or equivalent experience in related field.
• 3+ years of experience in related fields; 5+ years if no degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and testing of data sets delivered through Actuarial data marts.
• Support monthly data refreshes, validations, and QA for financial reporting.
• Develop decision support solutions including medical and pharmacy data builds, extracts, reports.
• Provide data definitions, SQL code structure, and business rules guidance.
• Perform unit testing with sample data to validate SQL logic.
• Analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and communicate business impact.
