Core Specialty Insurance Services, Inc. in Chicago invites you to join a 12-week summer internship where interns are treated as valued team members. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting actuarial teams, learning data processing, and collaborating with senior leaders on real projects.

The program emphasizes rapid learning, a collaborative culture, and high-quality work. You will develop technical skills, from data analysis to Excel-based tasks, while gaining insight into the insurance

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
• Demonstrate sufficient progress in understanding and applying basic actuarial principles is required
• Studying for CAS preliminary exams; may have 1-2 passed

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the different Actuarial teams.
• Ensure that assigned tasks are completed within reasonable timeliness and with reasonable accuracy.
• Standardize ad hoc processes and drive continuous improvement for automating and optimizing performance of ongoing processes, including development of data processing pipelines.
• Use a variety of applications and technologies to answer simple and complex questions
• Other duties as Assigned

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

• Provide support to the different Actuarial teams.

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:

• Passed at least one Actuarial Exam strongly preferred


• Excel experience


• Interest in insurance industry


• Knowledge of actuarial exam process

Experience:
