Job summary

Triple-S Management Corp. is seeking an experienced actuary to compile data, perform analysis and provide recommendations for premiums, quotes and reserves across large groups and new products.

You will collaborate with Finance, Underwriting and Product Development to estimate costs, analyze claims trends and develop rating factors, with opportunities to influence Medicare Advantage and related lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related discipline.
• Must have approved at least one actuarial test sponsored by the Society of Actuaries.

Responsibilities

• Apply mathematics, probability and statistics to financial analyses.
• Compile data for variance, revenue forecasting and premium/membership trends.
• Gathers and prepares actuarial analysis from internal/external sources.
• Model, quantify, and value insurable risks for the company.
• Draft reports with methods, assumptions and results under senior actuary supervision.
• Extracts and validates data for applications and modeling reports.
• Estimate financial outcomes via routine and ad hoc analyses.
• Calculate premiums for large groups and products; estimate reserves.
• Develop rating factors for community, merit, and experience groups.
• Assist with rate development for Medicare Advantage and HMO capitation.
• Analyze incurred claims and trend by coverage and line of business.
• Collaborate with programmers, underwriters, Product Development, and management.
