Holland America Princess Alaska at Icy Strait Point (Hoonah) seeks an Actor Guide for a seasonal, live-performance role in Alaska. You will perform in theater productions, narrate stories, sing and dance, and engage guests with rich tales of Alaska, wildlife, and Tlingit culture.

You’ll learn traditional introductions and lead guest orientations, with bonus potential in a remote, breathtaking community. This seasonal post offers crossing duties and a chance to live in Alaska’s wild landscape.

Qualifications

Actor Guide

where you’ll share the beauty, history, and culture of Alaska through live performances and guest experiences. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to live in a breathtaking, remote community and help create unforgettable memories for visitors from around the world.

What You’ll Do

• Perform in Icy Strait Point theater production—acting, narrating, singing, and dancing.


• Welcome and guide guests with engaging storytelling about Alaska’s scenery, wildlife, and Tlingit culture.


• Learn and perform a traditional Tlingit introduction (training provided).


• Lead orientations, answer questions, and promote other tours and activities.


• Jump into different roles as needed—you’ll be cross-trained to perform multiple parts.


• Bring energy, fun, and authenticity to every performance.


• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for performing and storytelling.


• Strong verbal communication skills—you’re comfortable engaging kids and adults alike.


• Willingness to learn Tlingit songs, dances, and cultural traditions.


• Ability to project your voice and perform confidently in a theater setting.


• Flexible, team-oriented, and excited to learn new skills (like basic costume sewing).


• Knowledge of Alaska’s wildlife, plants, or marine life is a plus!
