Pembroke Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist to join our inpatient behavioral health team in Pembroke, MA. This full-time role requires working one weekend day per week with a Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday schedule.

You will provide expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on inpatient psychiatry units. The role sits within a 120-bed facility offering inpatient and partial hospitalization services for teens to older adults.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field and working toward or has already obtained a certification in expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
• Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy with one of the following certifications: CTRS, MT-BC, ATR-BC, or other Certified Expressive Therapist modality.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on the inpatient psychiatric units.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other treatment team members via treatment planning and meetings.
• Provide education to Mental Health Associates to ensure effective group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Pembroke Hospital is hiring for an Activity Therapist to join the team! This is full time, 40 hour per week position. This position requires working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) per week. The schedule for this position is typically Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems.
