Job summary

Pembroke Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist to join the inpatient behavioral health team on a per diem or part-time basis, with Saturday and Sunday shifts available from 9am to 5pm. The Activity Therapist will conduct expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on inpatient units.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree with certification in expressive/recreational therapies or a Bachelor’s degree with CTRS/ MT-BC/ATR-BC, plus relevant credentials.

• Master’s Degree in related field and pursuing or holding a relevant expressive therapy certification
• Bachelor’s degree in recreational or expressive therapy with CTRS, MT-BC, ATR-BC, or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Facilitate groups on the inpatient psychiatric units
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other treatment team members
• Provide education to Mental Health Associates regarding therapeutic group facilitation
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Pembroke Hospital is hiring for Per Diem or Part Time Activity Therapists to join the team! Available shifts include Saturday and Sundays from 9am - 5pm.

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. • Master’s Degree in related field and working toward or has already obtained a certification in the fields of expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.

OR

• Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy and one of the following certifications:Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS), Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), or other Certified Expressive Therapist modality
