What you will do in this role:

• Apply appropriate theories and standards for decision-making and therapeutic practices.
• Assess patient needs considering cultural, religious, and physical disabilities to determine capabilities in groups and activities.
• Document patient responses to interventions and progress regularly.
• Complete assessments within designated timeframes and contribute to workload balance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting, especially with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients, preferred.
• Current unencumbered certification/license/registration per state guidelines.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment.

Salary range: $22 - $30 per hour. Compensation may vary based on circumstances.
