Job summary

The Construction Activity Manager provides day-to-day oversight of construction activities for Waste Projects & Operations (WP&O). Specific duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supervises construction contractors and personnel performing facility upgrades and modifications across the WP&O complex for varied and complex project scope.
• Manages daily execution of construction work in accordance with approved work packages, contract requirements, and CPCCo policies/procedures.
• Conducts pre-job and post-job briefings, including enhanced work planning meetings and lessons learned.
• Completes work activity documentation accurately and ensures required reviews, approvals, and authorizations/releases are obtained.
• Conducts routine field walkdowns of construction sites to identify hazards, verify progress, and supports resolution of issues with subcontractor management.
• Ensures construction activities remain within established Authorization Basis boundaries.
• Coordinates pre-construction activities and ensures alignment of deployed and matrixed resources (Engineering, Work Planning, OS&IH, RadCon, Waste Management, etc.).
• Works closely with Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Planning, and ESH&Q to provide technical feedback, constructability input, and Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) integration.
• Proactively resolves issues, makes informed decisions, and adapts to evolving project needs.
• Manages contractor and CPCCo resources across multiple projects ensuring a balance of craft skills and work site supervision, and integrates construction tasks with Operations, Engineering, ESH&Q, and Project Management.
• Ensures field personnel are compliant with training and medical requirements.
• Builds and sustains high functioning field teams, recognizes achievements, and corrects behaviors that conflict with safe work performance or teamwork expectations.
• Implements CPCCo policies and contractual requirements applicable to bargaining unit personnel.

Basic Qualifications

Intermediate Grade 19: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 7 or more years of relevant experience

Career Grade 20: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 8 or more years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supervising or coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams (mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, instrumentation).
• Proficient in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Solid understanding of Conduct of Operations principles.
• Experience working within a nuclear facility and interfacing with Operations, RadCon, Engineering, Safety, and Waste Management.
• Effective leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills for managing field teams.
• Preferred training or certifications: Field Work Supervisor qualification, Rad Worker II, 40 hr Hazardous Waste Worker (HAZWOPER), and/or Safety Training Supervisor (STS) certification.

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

• Intermediate Level Grade 19: $104,200 - $166,650
• Career Level Grade 20: $114,700 - $183,450

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
