Job summary

Metro West Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking an Activities Director to lead a dynamic program for residents in a LTC/Rehab setting. You will plan and deliver activities that promote health, social interaction, and wellbeing, while collaborating with clinical staff.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of relevant experience, a state-approved training in therapeutic activities, OT/OTA qualifications, and prefer CTRS certification.

Qualifications

Two (2+) years of social or recreational program experience within the last five years in a health care setting.
Completion of a state approved Therapeutic or Recreational Activities training program.
Must qualify as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
CTRS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and provide an ongoing activities program for residents in short-term rehab, sub-acute, and long-term care that supports physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Responsible for planning and providing an ongoing program of activities for residents and patients in a short-term rehabilitation, sub-acute care, and long-term care center, that encourage physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Qualifications :

Two (2+) years of social or recreational program experience within the last five years (one of which must have been full-time in a residential activities program in a health care setting) OR
Completion of a state approved Therapeutic or Recreational Activities training program OR
Must qualify as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is preferred
