Job summary

Metro West Nursing & Rehab Center in Orlando seeks an Activities Director focused on growth and teamwork to enhance resident well-being in a LTC/Rehab setting. You will lead ongoing activity programs that engage residents and coordinate with nursing, therapy, and family members to deliver meaningful experiences.

The role offers a supportive leadership team, opportunities for professional development, and a culture that values teamwork and a strong commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Two (2+) years of social or recreational program experience within the last five years (one of which must have been full-time in a residential activities program in a health care setting).
• Completion of a state approved Therapeutic or Recreational Activities training program.
• Must qualify as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Planning and providing an ongoing program of activities for residents and patients in a short-term rehabilitation, sub-acute care, and long-term care center, that encourage physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
