Job summary

Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated is seeking a Supervisor of Activities & Events in Orlando to lead resort activities and events, supervise staff, and ensure guest satisfaction. You will manage inventory, promotions, and day-to-day operations in a dynamic recreation environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, cash handling, and customer service skills, with duties spanning training, inventory, and vendor relations in a family-friendly resort setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in recreation management and/or supervision preferred.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and able to meet vehicle policy standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of resort activities and events; supervise, train, schedule and evaluate staff; oversee day-to-day department operations.
  • Assist in developing activity/event promotional communications and ensure proper distribution; order, receive, inventory and stock supplies and merchandise.
  • Conduct retail transactions and reconcile cash handling; manage cash bank and daily deposits; handle vendor and guest relations.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and uphold service standards across recreation areas including arcade, movie theater, pools and outdoor amenities.

The Supervisor of Activities & Events oversees outlet staff, ensures guest satisfaction, and upholds service standards, cash handling, and cleanliness across recreation areas including the arcade, movie theater, pools, and outdoor amenities. Responsible for training new hires, managing inventory, and supporting daily operations of all activity outlets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
  • Oversee the planning and execution of resort activities and events. Supervise, train, schedule and evaluate staff; oversee day-to-day department operations.
  • Assist in the development of activity/event promotional communications and ensure proper distribution. Order, receive, inventory, and stock supplies and merchandise.
  • Conducting retail transactions and reconciliation of cash handling.
  • Responsible for cash bank and daily deposits; vendor and guest relations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, and minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
  • Must meet company required motor vehicle policy standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Moderate decision-making is required under limited supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills and cash handling experience required
  • Previous inventory experience preferred
  • Must know how to operate a cash register and adding machine
  • Must be able to communicate basic resort information to owners and guests
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in recreation management and/or supervision preferred
  • Previous experience in resort activities, water park operations, and/or retail operations a plus
  • Cash handling experience required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • CPR/First Aid Training a plus
  • Valid driver’s license
