Goldwater Care in Gibson City, IL is seeking an Activity Director to design and lead programs that promote the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of residents, in line with assessments.

You will develop and plan activities, coordinate a monthly calendar, supervise Activity Aides, document MDS progress notes, and assist in budgeting and fundraising.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a training course for Activity Directors.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a social or recreational program.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

The Activity Director provides ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and plan activities
• Prepare, plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities
• Oversight of Activity Aides
• Properly document MDS reports and progress notes
• Participate with the Administrator in developing the activity budget, including creatively sourcing funds

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
