Meadowbrook is seeking an experienced Activity Director to lead a vibrant activity program that promotes socialization, independence, creativity, and quality of life for residents.
You will build relationships with residents and families, coordinate with nursing and therapy teams, and oversee calendar planning, assessments, and staff supervision to deliver meaningful experiences daily.

As our Activity Director, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with residents, learn what makes each person unique, and create activities and experiences that promote socialization, independence, creativity, and overall quality of life.
Plan, organize, and oversee a fun and meaningful activity program based on the interests, abilities, and needs of our residents
Develop and maintain the monthly activity calendar
Complete resident activity assessments and individualized care plans
Coordinate group and one-on-one activities, outings, entertainment, special events, and holiday programs
Encourage resident participation while respecting each resident's preferences and right to choose
Build relationships with residents and families and help create a warm, welcoming environment
Coordinate with nursing, therapy, social services, dietary, and other departments to support each resident's overall plan of care
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise Activity Department staff
Coordinate volunteers, community organizations, entertainers, and other outside resources
Maintain required documentation and ensure the Activity Department remains compliant with applicable regulations
Participate in care plan meetings, department head meetings, committees, and quality improvement activities
Manage the Activity Department's supplies and budget
Participate in our Manager on Duty (MOD) program, including some evenings and weekends
Primary schedule: Monday–Friday
This position will primarily work during regular weekday hours, with some evenings, weekends, and holidays required as part of our Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation. The MOD schedule is planned in advance so you can balance your work and personal life.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with seniors, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, long-term care, or recreational setting
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Creative, positive, and energetic personality
Ability to plan and manage multiple activities and priorities
Comfortable working with residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities
Compassionate, patient, and able to build genuine relationships with residents
Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of the leadership team
