Job summary

Waters of Sullivan is seeking an Activity Director to lead the activities department and enhance resident wellbeing. You will plan, organize and direct a ongoing activities program to meet residents' physical and psychosocial needs.

The role involves facilitating group activities, coordinating 1-on-1 activities, and partnering with all disciplines to deliver attentive, compliant care in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred for the role.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Activities Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility, with 2 years in an Activity Director role.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the Activity Department to meet residents' wellbeing.
• Facilitate group activities and chart attendance.
• Assist with 1 on 1 activities and transport residents to activities.
• Coordinate outings, events, and other assigned duties.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Ensure confidentiality and residents' rights compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

• Facilitate group activities

• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance

• Assist in keeping activity supplies clean and organized

• Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities

• Assist with outings and special events and other assigned duties

• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree (preferred)

• 3 years experience in Activities Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility, 2 of which must have been as an Activity Director
