Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Illinois is seeking a Full Time Activity Director for a Skilled Nursing Facility. The role plans, organizes, and directs the activity program to meet residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being in accordance with regulations and facility policies.

You will lead group activities, coordinate individual and group engagements, supervise staff as needed, ensure attendance, manage supplies, and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years experience in Activities Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility or equivalent.
• Experience planning, organizing, and directing activity programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the activity department in line with regulations and policies.
• Facilitate group activities and encourage resident participation.
• Assist with 1-on-1 activities and transport residents to activities.
• Coordinate outings and special events and maintain supplies.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and our established policies and procedures. The Activity Director must assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

• Facilitate group activities

• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance

• Assist in keeping activity supplies clean and organized

• Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities

• Assist with outings and special events and other assigned duties

• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
