Job summary

Atrium Centers Roosevelt Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Community is seeking an Activity Director to lead therapeutic recreation programs that enhance residents' emotional, social, and physical well-being. You will organize individual and group activities, complete assessments and care plans, and coordinate events with families and volunteers.

This role requires CTRS/MMT/AT credentials or RAC certification in good standing, plus at least 1 year in a healthcare activities department.

Qualifications

• CTRS, MMT, or AT credential required.
• RAC certification required if CTRS/MMT/AT not held.
• Minimum 1 year in an Activities Department within healthcare.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, dependable, and team-oriented mindset.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs tailored to resident needs.
• Facilitate individual and group activities across varied functional levels.
• Complete assessments, care plans, progress notes, and MDS documentation.
• Coordinate special events, community outings, and volunteer involvement.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and families.
• Support residents’ spiritual, emotional, recreational, leisure, and social needs in both group and individual settings.
