Job summary

Monroe Springs Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking an Activity Director to design and lead engaging activities for residents, tailored to their interests. You will plan events, coordinate programs, and promote social interaction within a friendly team.

The role requires experience in healthcare activities; NCCAP or equivalent qualifications are preferred, with potential eligibility for certification testing after two years as an activity aide or in social services in a skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare activities role preferred.
• NCCAP (Certified Activity Director) or similar qualifications preferred.
• 2 years working as an activity aide or social services in a skilled nursing facility can qualify for certification testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging activities and programs for residents.

As the Activity Director at Monroe Springs, you will have the opportunity to provide fun and engaging activities, projects and games to our residents while focusing on their individual interests. The Activity Director makes care plans specific to each resident, promotes social interaction, leads one-on-one, small group and large group activities according to the program schedule. • Experience in a similar role within the healthcare field is preferred.
• Qualified Candidates would have their NCCAP (Certified Activity Director) or similar qualifications.
• Those who have worked as an activity aide/social services in a skilled nursing facility for 2 years qualify to test for this certification as well!
