The Activity Coordinator will organize and direct Memory Care activities to promote resident independence and quality of life, while supporting a safe, engaging environment.

The role involves coordinating events, communicating with residents and families, and driving community vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Vaccinate, participate in screening, surveillance testing, and wear PPE as required by regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Memory Care Director by organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for Traditions Memory Care to enhance residents' independence and quality of life.
• Communicate effectively and with tact with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.

Shifts, Time, and Days: Tuesday through Saturday

Pay Range: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour

The Activity Coordinator

is responsible for assisting with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing the activities and excursions for Traditions Memory Care in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area. Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
