McKnight Place Extended Care in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Activities Assistant (Life Enrichment) to lead engaging activities and build meaningful connections with residents. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required beyond a passion for working with older adults.

The role involves coordinating group events, visiting residents individually, and supporting mobility and daily care within the facility. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with on-site work and paid training.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, energetic, dependable with a positive attitude.
• Enjoys interacting with seniors and creating meaningful experiences.
• Comfortable walking, bending, standing, and assisting residents throughout the day.
• Experience in senior living, recreation, dementia care, childcare, hospitality, or customer service is a plus but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsabilités

• Lead and assist with group activities including games, crafts, music, exercise, celebrations, and special events.
• Visit residents one-on-one using activity carts to provide personalized engagement.
• Encourage participation while building meaningful relationships with residents.
• Assist residents throughout the community, including safely pushing wheelchairs as needed.
• Help set up and maintain activity areas and document resident participation.
• Occasionally assist with caring for facility animals as part of the activities program.

Full-Time | $17.00/hour | Weekends & Holidays Required

McKnight Place Extended Care – St. Louis, MO (I-170 & Delmar)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30am-5:00pm, plus rotating weekends.

Holiday availability required.
