Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgate in Albany, New York, is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. You will work with the Director of Activities to deliver engaging resident activities aligned with individual needs and interests, and you may help orient residents to programs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in senior assisted living, is self-motivated, compassionate, and able to greet residents and guests,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience required in Senior Assisted Living

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Activities to deliver creative and exciting resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community.
• Under the direction of the Director of Activities, assist with orienting all residents to activity programs.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions. Must be a proven professional with compassion, integrity, and honesty.
• Occasionally assist the Business Office Director covering the reception desk as needed
• Graciously greeting community residents, visitors, and family members, addressing the questions or concerns of prospective or current residents and families, and providing support to sales and marketing and the business office.
• Have a keen ability to foster teamwork with co-workers, showing initiative in overcoming obstacles, helping others beyond the job responsibilities, and having a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
