Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to lead programs for residents and enrich their active aging lifestyle. You will manage and deliver meaningful activities with supervision, crafting diverse plans, including events and birthday celebrations, to engage residents across memory care and assisted living settings.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in adult recreation, with a strong emphasis on resident engagement

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease and related Dementia's required.
• Experience in and knowledge of senior living, including Assisted Living, Memory care, and Enhanced Assisted Living preferred.
• Leads assigned activity programs and engages residents in diverse activities.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned activity programs to enhance residents' lives.
• Develops and offers diversified recreational activities with supervision.
• Plans parties and seasonal activities, and organizes monthly birthday events.
• Greets new residents and helps integrate them into community activities.

Salary: $16 - $17.50 per hour - based on experience

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Activities Assistant.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities include:
This role leads assigned programs that are of interest and meaning to our residents to enhance their lives and exceed their active aging lifestyle expectations.

• Basic knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease and related Dementia's required.

• Experience in and knowledge of senior living, including Assisted Living, Memory care, and Enhanced Assisted Living preferred.

• Leads assigned activity programs.

• Offers adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with sufficient supervision for each activity.

• Develops programs for residents including, if applicable, programs designed for residents confined to their rooms.

• Engages and motivates residents resulting in program participation.

• Informs residents of upcoming activities and maintains a current schedule of events on the bulletin board.

• Greets new residents making a special effort to include and engage them in activities and introduce them to others in the community with similar interests and backgrounds.

• Assists in planning parties and activities as well as decorating the community according to the season and/or holiday throughout the year, as well as planning monthly birthday parties to honor residents.

Activities Assistant Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with adult recreation
