Northbridge Communities is seeking an engaging Activity Assistant to support our Engagement Director in delivering thoughtful, enjoyable activities for residents. You will help plan programs that nurture physical, mental, and social well-being and contribute to a vibrant community life.

The role emphasizes connecting with seniors, creativity in activity design, and maintaining a welcoming environment with safe, inclusive programming.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engagement Director to plan and run a variety of activities for residents (exercise, sessions, art, trips, spiritual gatherings, events).
• Connect with residents to tailor activities to interests and needs.
• Help plan trips outside the community and ensure safety and enjoyment.
• Create a warm, inclusive environment where residents can form friendships and discover interests.
• Keep records of participation and feedback to improve programs.
• Share ideas to keep programs engaging and aligned with residents' preferences.

Job description

Activity Assistant

Full-time with availability for 8 hour shifts within 7am-7:30pm. Must be willing and able to drive our 12 passenger van for outings and appointments. Must be available every other Saturday and Sunday.

Part-time 9am-5pm, including every other Saturday and Sunday

Activity Assistant Job Summary

As an Activity Assistant, you'll work with the Engagement Director to make our residents' lives more enjoyable with fun and engaging activities. Your role involves creating experiences that cater to their physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being, making our community vibrant and lively.

• Connect with residents personally, understanding what they like and need to make sure activities are enjoyable and meaningful.

• Create a warm and inclusive environment where residents can make friends and discover new interests.
• Keep records of resident participation and feedback to help improve our programs.
• Share creative ideas to keep our programs exciting and in line with what seniors like.

Qualifications:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Some classes in recreation, gerontology, or related areas are a plus.
