Job summary

Northbridge Communities seeks an Activity Assistant to partner with the Engagement Director in delivering engaging programs for residents. You will design experiences addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional well‑being to keep the community vibrant.

This part-time role requires strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and a passion for seniors. You will support planning, tracking participation, and fostering friendships in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some recreation/gerontology courses a plus.
• Enjoy connecting with seniors and building rapport.
• Creative and able to plan/lead activities for varied interests and abilities.
• Organized with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and kindness.
• Flexible to work weekends and evenings.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run activities with the Engagement Director (exercise, sessions, art, trips, gatherings).
• Get to know residents and tailor activities to their interests.
• Help plan trips outside the community and ensure safety.
• Create warm, inclusive environment; help residents make friends.
• Maintain records of participation and feedback.
• Share ideas to keep programs engaging and age-appropriate.
