Job summary

Juniper Communities in New Jersey seeks an energetic staff member to assist in creating, planning, and implementing the Connections program—our daily activities for residents. You will help ensure residents enjoy leisure contentment and maintain physical, mental, and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities include assisting in planning and evaluating the Connections activity program and working closely with Wellness Associates for implementation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required;Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology or related field preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or service-related setting preferred.
• Fitness background required and helpful for activity programs.
• Knowledge of physiology and psychology of older adults is important.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Connections activity program for the community.
• Collaborate with Wellness Associates to implement activity programs.

Role:

Assists in the creation, planning and implementation of the Connections program - the daily activities for our residents. You will ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the Connections activity program for the community.
• Works closely with Wellness Associates for the implementation of Connections activity programs.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or other related field (Preferred)
• Previous experience in healthcare or service-related setting (Preferred)
• Fitness background (Required)
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
