Qualifications of an Ideal Activities Assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid State of Residence Driver's License with a safe driving record
  • At least 1 year of related work experience in Senior Living
Job Summary

An Activities Assistant is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating therapeutic recreational activities for residents.

  • Establish, promote, and support programs fostering enjoyment and overall wellness.
  • Consult with other departments to implement appropriate activities for residents.
  • Assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments.
  • May occasionally be responsible for resident transportation.
  • Assist in preparing the monthly Community newsletter.
